What's better than visiting Rotarians? Return visitors! We were happy to see Terry Winebrenner from the Apex Sunrise Rotary Club in North Carolina, and even had a flag to exchange this time :-)

In other news, we are looking for an alternate location for next week's meeting. We will send word once we have solidified the location - but please check in before you head to North Beach next week!

Regardless of where we end up, our program is very exciting. Kent Campbell, Past President of the RC of Mill Valley, will present his talk "Engineering Influence", where he explores the origins of fake news, how it is created, who creates it, and how to spot bogus online content.

DG Ron Gin Visits SF Evening Rotary

On August 2, we had the honor of hosting and hearing from District 5150 Governor Ron Gin.

"Come to the Dark Side - we have cookies"

DG (and friend of the club) Ron gave a presentation on the 2017-2018 RI theme, "Rotary: Making a Difference." He inspired us with showing how we are making a difference on multiple levels: through RI and The Rotary Foundation, through our club's local and international service projects, and through the individual connections we make as Rotarians and human beings. He then invited us to reflect on how Rotary makes a difference in our own lives. He also brought cookies!

As a bonus, we witnessed SF Evening founding President and current District Chief of Staff Danielle receive her PHF+3 pin, in recognition of her ongoing contributions to The Rotary Foundation.
