The Rotary Club of San Francisco Evening Foundation has earmarked a special fund for service projects in remembrance of Tara Labang and her unborn son.  The tragic loss of Tara this past December has deeply affected us all.  To honor Tara, our club has decided to do the following:
 

Every October we will dedicate that month's service project to Tara and will be deemed "The Tara Labang Day of Service." October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 

 

We have also reached out to shelters for Women & Children of Domestic Violence to do a project. It will be similar to what we did many years ago with La Casa de Las Madres by furnishing and decorating a shelter room.  More details to come as we correspond with our local shelters.
