Greetings, all.
As we head into fall, my favorite season, I am excited about what we have done so far this year, and I'm excited to find out how we will proceed with the two projects that we have chosen to focus on this year: the Larkin Street Youth Project, preparing dinners for at-risk youth in a group home, and One Hard Thing, a twice a year visit to the homes of seniors in San Francisco who have chosen to age in place.
September is Basic Education and Literacy month. Take a minute to think about how we might be able to use funds from the small but growing SF Evening Rotary Foundation to support non-profit groups in our community who support education and literacy. Don't limit your ideas to education and literacy. We would be happy to consider any grant application that is permissible under our bylaws and in-line with the purpose of Rotary.
Thank you,
Suzanne Taylor
