Last year our club donated $1,000 ($1,800 matched) DDF to Voces e Manos for a project 'Adapting Family Agriculture to Climate Change Through Youth Leadership in Rabinal Guatemala' We are excited to hear from representatives of Voces e Manos at our club meeting tomorrow. Support the female residents of Gum Moon by volunteering at their Holiday Boutique, an event that allows the women to 'shop' gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, and other items they may need for job interviews, employment, school, etc.
Tara Labang was a past member of the SF Evening Rotary Club, who was tragically killed by an act of Domestic Violence. In memory of her, we are working with Gum Moon, a residence hall and women's resource center. See the video here about the work Gum Moon is doing in our community.
If you are not able to Volunteer, please consider donating to the Tara Labang Fund through the SF Evening Rotary Club foundation. We will be using these funds to assemble Holiday Gift Bags for the residents of Gum Moon. Details on this event to follow.
We meet in-person on the 2nd Wednesdays of the month.
