We met for our first assembly club meeting of 2017 and learned about lots of upcoming events. I'm looking forward to Casa de Las Madres service event, PRLS, Yoga with the Chinatown Club, District Assembly, One Hard Thing, and of course, RYLA Camp! Then our June fundraiser...The White Party. How will you get involved in 2017?
I received some less than ideal news last week. The Barbary Coast, our homebase meeting location for the past 8 months will be closing. For Feb 1 meeting, we will go back to the North Beach Citizen's community center (1034 Kearny St) We will meet there until we can secure a new meeting place.
Each year we face challenges, that is to be expected. I know we can work together to find a new meeting space and keep moving forward!
Our January Social, and the last official event at The Barbary Coast, will be a baby shower for Rebekah and Jamie who are both expecting baby boys in March. Please join us on Jan 25th to celebrate our expectant mama bears!
