Preventing Human Trafficking: Vision, Outreach, and Engagement of Wisdom International: Help2Others
‘Prevention Before Harm’ education against human trafficking is the philosophy and driving force behind Wisdom International: Help2Others. Founder and Executive Director, Laurel Botsford, leads her nonprofit in developing and delivering targeted training for clubs, schools, and agencies. She also hosts multi-faceted community events with her anti-trafficking partners, unveiling changed and new tactics in the ever-evolving landscape of this heinous crime. Each year Laurel’s commitment only deepens as she builds into the fabric of everyday community life the tools necessary to prevent human trafficking before the harm occurs.
Laurel has trained multiple local schools and clubs and a village school in Guatemala, has spoken at the Rotary 4-Way Fest, and the Commonwealth Club World Affairs-Marin Chapter, and ESCOM, and accepted an invitation by the FBI to attend their Citizen’s Academy. Laurel is Youth Director of the Rotary Club of Terra Linda and Board Member of the Friends of the Sausalito Library.
