RYLA stands for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and this is the 7th year that SF Evening has participated to engage young leaders.  Have you been to RYLA yet? If not, you're definitely missing out! The Needle Walk was a huge success.  Check out the video! We had Rotarians from 8 different Rotary clubs there to help clean up the streets of San Francisco.  The Dept of Public Works gave us the supplies needed for the cleanup and off we went walking the streets of SOMA near Tehama Street.  

In this week's story, we learn from Castro Rotary's President-Elect, Joe Adkins, about the upcoming SF Rotary Needle Walk and how combining some of his passions for serving others developed this project.  

It's World Rotaract Week!  Do you know about Rotaract?  Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18-30 to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service. 

At the People of Action - Impact Series event in San Francisco, join guest speakers from Litterati, Zaya Learning Labs, and Asante Africa to discuss how the use of technology can effect social entrepreneurship. They will also discuss how you can utilize philanthropy throughout your career to enhance your individual development. You will have the chance to meet our speakers during a Q&A panel and connect with fellow attendees during a reception with passed hors d'oeuvres, local craft beers, and other beverages.

Rotary, the main sponsor of this event, connects people with diverse perspectives to exchange ideas to change the world. At People of Action - Impact Series, we will bring together leaders from the Bay Area and the global Rotary network to explore opportunities to develop ourselves—and our communities.
